I have lived with Border Collies for over 25 years. I am a Lifetime member of our parent club, the BCSA, and also a past president of the Valparaiso Kennel Club.I breed for Temperament first, because these dogs are my companions.

I have been doing obedience training since the late1970's, and have taught Lake County 4-H for 5 years and Valparaiso Kennel Club obedience classes. I am an AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) evaluator, and have taught the VKC CGC classes since their inception. I believe in the idea of training “pet people,” because well-behaved dogs are less likely to end up in the shelters. I am always on the lookout on the internet and in books for new and different ways to train.   I was Obedience Chairperson for 2 years for Valparaiso Kennel Club shows.

I have shown and titled in AKC Obedience as well as Conformation. (I have also taught conformation) Six of my Border Collies have earned their CGCs, which is a plus for breeders as a sign of great temperament. I have also been a member of Human Opportunities for Pet Experiences (H.O.P.E.) of Valparaiso Kennel Club since its inception. This is a local organization that provides Pet Therapy and Visitation to many facilities in the area, and requires certification from the Delta Society. I own two Delta dogs, and did therapy work for ten years.

All Cloverdale puppies are health-checked, vaccinated, CERF'd,and come with a puppy packet and contract.

I am available for Private Obedience Lessons and Behavior Modification Classes (All Breeds)
